Sage Academy provides a full continuum of services that address student needs from Kindergarten students to 8th grade.
The goal of Special Education is to help students become independent learners, to teach learning strategies to prepare them to be successful in their regular classes, and to prepare them for their educational journey. This goal will be achieved through a partnership between student, home and school.
Sage Academy is required to provide free, appropriate public education to eligible children in cooperation with parents and other agencies under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act. Each eligible student must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), which is developed by a team composed of teachers and other qualified school personnel, parents or guardians and the student, when appropriate. The IEP is revised when necessary and reviewed at least annually.

Welcome to Title I
Title I is a federally funded program designed to help students meet academic standards in reading and math in order to succeed in school. Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) (signed into law on December 10, 2015, replacing No Child Left Behind) is to “provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and to close educational achievement gaps.” Title I provides assistance and support to help ensure every child has access to an excellent education.
Sage Academy qualifies for Title I federal funds which are used to supplement instructional programs. Title I funds are allocated based on the number of students at the school who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Title I services vary from school to school based on the school improvement plan. For example, some schools provide after school tutoring while others may have small groups for reading intervention during the day. For specific information, please contact the school administration.
